Despite our growth overseas, the UK is an enormously important market for Double First, with almost 300 independent schools using Engage, including 7 of our first 10 clients from 1987!

St Edmund’s is an independent co-educational day school with a unique flexi-boarding provision for boys and girls from 2 to 16 years. It moved to the Engage school management information system to achieve a system that was fully integrated across school academic and administrative functions.

“Engage is very simple to use," bursar Julie Beeston explains. "We don’t require complicated knowledge or help from an IT expert, which makes it very straightforward. I love the look and feel of Engage, it’s colourful, bright and easy to navigate with pictures and icons.

Kingsmead College, Johannesburg, South Africa


kingsmead college school badgeKingsmead College is unique among independent girls schools in the region because it does not require students to pass an entrance exam to attend. Despite its open entry, the school has achieved the top academic results in South Africa for the past two years.

“We always want evidence of what we are doing and that’s why we chose to change our school management information system last year," Director of Education Technology Lora Foot explains. "Engage will empower us to be able to analyse our students to a higher level so that we can improve our performance."

Brooke House College, Market Harborough, UK


Brooke House CollegeBrooke House College is an international boarding college based in the town of Market Harborough. There are 190 pupils on roll, from over 30 nationalities. The college has a thriving football academy, with many pupils excelling in mathematics and science. 

Assistant Principal Dawn Savage explains how Engage was rolled out across the college. She says that "Key personnel at the school have been won over, and are looking to develop what they know, to assist their understanding of how Engage can improve the way that they do their jobs.."

In a college of 250 pupils the average class size is five, and there are no more than eight students in an AS or A level group, nine at GCSE.
