Double First Engage and the iPad Competition
Having returned from demonstrating the Engage school management software for independent schools at the recent ISA, ISBA, COBIS and BSA conferences, Double First is pleased to announce the winner of the iPad competition.
John Reid, Bursar at James Allen's Girls' School, was the lucky winner having been randomly selected from nearly 200 applications. The new iPad was hand-delivered to Mr Reid who was very happy to be the winner. "I never win anything so this is very unexpected," he joked. "This is good news and real boon!"
Double First Engage is operational on any computer connected to the internet, including this latest device from Apple. This web-based portal allows users to work from home or anywhere in the world when required.
To ensure a fair and random selection, Double First engaged the help of the children from a local school in Sherborne St John, Hampshire. A pupil from Year 2 was then asked to select a name from all the folded pieces of paper.
About James Allen's Girls' School (JAGS)
JAGS is an academically selective, independent, girls' day school, educating some 770 girls from Year 7 to the Sixth Form. Their prep school, James Allen's Preparatory School, educates 300 younger pupils (boys and girls) from 4-7 in the Pre-Prep Department and girls from 7-11 in the Middle School.
Since 1987 Double First has been at the forefront of computer software, creating effective Management Information Systems (MIS) specifically for independent fee-paying schools. More recently, a web portal service for remote access has been introduced, bringing teachers, children and parents together to further develop the educational progress of children.
