Changes in Double First operations
Double First is putting into place a series of important changes to support, training and project management. This will keep all operational functions synchronised with the growing requirements of schools and the many capabilities of its Engage education management information system.
The support and training teams are now reporting into Head of Product Development, Paul Rastall. Paul has relocated to the support area in the company's Yeovil, UK headquarters where he is getting hands on with customer requests and monitoring trends to ensure appropriate support and development response.
This is just the first step in a reorganisation process that will also see the implementation by March of a new fully integrated support knowledge base and call system with online access for customers.
The training team is in the process of revising all training course schedules and these will become available from the Spring term. The courses will include further remote access sessions to assist schools that have limited staff availability for full-day training.
The UK and International project management teams will be reporting directly into Chairman Piers du Pré, reflecting the importance of their role in ensuring all schools maximise investment in Engage. The implementation processes are currently in the final stages of revision, reflecting latest best practice learned during the past 12 months.
Operations at Double First
Head of Operations Carole Collins has left Double First to head her own consultancy.
Her first customer is Double First Ltd, and we are pleased that Carole has agreed to manage the preparation and roll-out of our new online support system.
Chairman Piers du Pré commented: "Carole has been a key member of the Double First team for 11 years and her decision to leave feels like the end of an era. I'd like to thank Carole for her tremendous and invaluable efforts for the company but at the same time we look forward to working with her as she assists the roll-out of our very exciting plans that will make Double First's operational capabilities leading edge in every respect."
