Grand piano seeking worthy home
ISA Gold Preferred Suppliers management information system developer Double First and IT and telecoms specialist du Pré are offering Independent School Association members the chance to win a very special Broadwood & Sons grand piano for their school.
The piano in our competition was built sometime between 1900 and 1910, the same era that Broadwoods supplied a piano to Captain Scott's Antarctic expedition. More recently the du Pré family owned this piano – it was played during this time by Hilary du Pré, the sister of cellist Jacqueline du Pré.
The Broadwood was fully refurbished within the past three years and is in first class condition, with an estimated value of £10,000. Piers du Pré wishes the piano to find a new home where it will be cherished and used for the advancement and love of music.
Entry is open to any ISA member school that would otherwise not be able to afford the purchase of a piano of such quality. In the entry you simply need to state a good reason why your school should be the recipient of the piano.
Judging will be by a panel convened by ISA, chaired by chief executive Neil Roskilly
To enter visit the ISA Piano Competition entry form.
Closing date for entries is 1pm on Wednesday 15 May. The winner will be announced at the Annual Conference drinks reception on Friday 17 May.
Terms and conditions apply, details are on the entry pages.
